Through interactive exercises, activities and partnered scene work, students will explore the core skills every actor needs, including creating believable characters, listening and responding authentically, understanding objectives and making confident performance choices.

Working in pairs, each participant will rehearse and perform a short scripted scene before receiving personalised coaching and constructive feedback, allowing them to immediately apply new techniques and experience how thoughtful direction can transform a performance.

Designed to build confidence, creativity and performance skills in a supportive environment, these workshops are suitable for beginners aged 8-17, as well as aspiring young actors looking to strengthen their foundations.

No previous acting experience is required.

Murran Kain is an Australian actress and international award-winning performer whose career spans film, television, musical theatre, and vocal performance.

Murran's recent work includes playing Young Bonnie Barker in the US television series Good Cop/Bad Cop (Netflix/Stan/The CW), starring Leighton Meester, Luke Cook, and Clancy Brown. Her credits also include the multi-award-winning film In Absence, where she starred alongside Christopher James Baker. Her performance earned the Grand Jury Prize at RIFF (USA) and critical praise for its emotional depth and subtlety.

Murran has been coaching for six years with actors of all ages and stages of their careers. She continues to train with leading industry coaches across Australia, the UK, and the US, developing her craft, movement, and voice work.
